(continued from the home page)...how incredibly small and compact the ATH ES7 were! You have to understand that I grew up in an era where headphones were large, cumbersome things. In fact, when I used to wear my old fashioned Koss model, I looked like the Kareem Abdul Jabbar character from the movie, "Airplane!"

The Audio Technica ATH ES7 weigh 11 ounces! Yeah, you read that right- 11 FREAKIN OUNCES! My old headphones weighed at least 2 pounds, and caused my ears to sweat if I wore them too long.

Thank goodness those days are over!

The only way I can describe theAudio Technica ATH ES7headphones is that they look "sharp."Mine are black in color, with a gorgeous stainless steel, mirrored finish. They do tend to scratch and smudge, so I am careful to store them in the included pouch when I am not wearing them.

As far as comfort is concerned, theATH ES7 cans are fully adjustable to all head sizes, and feature a very "cushy" ear pad. Unlike some other models that I tested, I can wear these puppies for HOURS, in absolute comfort!

In fact, I heve been known to fall asleep wearing the ATH ES7, only to have my grinning wife wake me up!

Without going in to alot of techno geek, audiophile "mumbo jumbo", the Audio Technica ATH ES7 sound fantastic! And, they sound great with virtually any type of music. As mentioned before, I love smooth jazz, but they also sound great with classic rock and techno. Needless to say, those are my 3 favorite types of music.

I was pleasnatly surprised by the accurate bass, which tended to sound "muddy"on some of the other models that I looked at. The middies are well defined, and the highs are out of this dimension!

What a difference from my old Koss dinosaurs!The re-production of sound has come a L-O-O-O-N-G way since the Beatle's "White Album" days
